Minor in Geology

Geological sciences provide an important perspective to fields like environmental science, environmental studies, and geography and environmental planning. This 24-unit program is designed to furnish majors in sciences, humanities, business or the arts with a background that will enrich their education and deepen their understanding of the earth around them, particularly its materials, processes, history and environmental challenges. Students in the Geology minor should consult with a geology adviser as soon as possible to design a program to meet their particular needs and ­interests.
