Minor in Italian

Students minoring in Italian must complete 18 units with a grade equivalent of 2.00 or higher in each course. Twelve units must be taken at the 300-400 level.

Select 5 electives at either the 200, 300 or 400 level:15
Three of which must be at the upper level (courses numbered 300-400)
ITAL 201 and ITAL 202 may be applied to the minor; however, students who have already completed a course at the 300 level may not register for lower-level courses
Language minors may transfer up to 6 units toward a minor and must earn at least 6 upper-division units at Towson
Courses should be selected in consultation with the student’s minor adviser

Native and Heritage speakers of Italian may earn up to 6 units for ITAL 301 and/or ITAL 302 by taking the department’s Credit for Prior Learning Exam.
