EESE 430 METHODS OF CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT AND COLLABORATION I (3)

Emphasizes foundational theoretical perspectives and practical interventions for behavior management and collaborative teaching. Open only to EESE majors. Prerequisite: Successful completion of Level II of the EESE major.

EESE 431 METHODS OF CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT AND COLLABORATION II (3)

Emphasizes application of theoretical perspectives and practical interventions for behavior management and collaborative teaching. Open only to EESE majors. Prerequisite: Successful completion of Level III of the EESE major.

EESE 474 INTERNSHIP I: SPECIAL EDUCATION (3)

Supervised part-time clinical experience in elementary/middle special education settings and seminar. Prerequisites: successful completion of Level I and II EESE program courses. Internship/Practicum fee will be assessed.

EESE 475 INTERNSHIP I: ELEMENTARY EDUCATION (3)

Supervised part-time clinical experience in elementary education settings and seminar. Prerequisites: successful completion of Level I and II EESE program courses. Internship/Practicum fee will be assessed.

EESE 476 INTERNSHIP II: SPECIAL EDUCATION (6)

Supervised full-time internship experience in which interns demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary for successful teaching in special education settings (grades 1-8) at the elementary/middle school level. S/U grading. Prerequisite: EESE 474. Internship/Practicum fee will be assessed.

EESE 477 INTERNSHIP II: ELEMENTARY EDUCATION (6)

Supervised full-time internship experience in which interns demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary for successful teaching in elementary education settings (grades 1-6). S/U grading. Prerequisite: EESE 475. Internship/Practicum fee will be assessed.

EESE 485 SEMINAR IN EESE (3)

Seminar supports requirements/expectations that are completed in EESE 476 Internship II. Topics include: theoretical and practical aspects of teaching; critical issues and topics; making the transition from professional pre-service intern to professional in-service teacher. Prerequisites: restricted to enrollment in Elementary Education - Special Education Program; prescribed courses for EESE majors.
