Applicants with bachelor’s degrees and excellent academic standing are eligible to apply for the accelerated master’s to doctorate program. In this program, students will earn a Master of Science degree (M.S.), with a concentration in Educational Technology or Instructional Design and Development within the master's, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) as part of an accelerated curriculum. Students may choose to take the M.S. degree and not continue to the Ph.D. as long as all required M.S. coursework is completed. Students in this program are waived from the M.S. Instructional Technology Capstone requirement and nine elective units otherwise required for the Ph.D. This accelerated program has a total credit requirement of 84 units.
Note: 12 units earned as part of the M.S. degree – EDUC 789, EDUC 790, EDUC 791 & one course from the Level II Advanced M.S. Core – will be applied toward the Ph.D. degree.
