Scholarships
The primary scholarship available to Honors College students is the Honors College Scholarship, which is awarded to many incoming freshmen and transfer students who join TU and the Honors College in a fall term. Recipients must remain in good standing per Honors College and University rules to continue the scholarship. Honors students have also been successful recipients of national and international awards in areas such as research, public service, and language acquisition. Honors advisers connect interested students with the Office of Competitive Fellowships & Awards to learn more about these opportunities and prepare applications. The Honorables of Color (HOC) student group also has created a scholarship for incoming freshmen who are interested in social justice issues. Honors College students are encouraged to apply for and have been very successful in obtaining many types of grants for undergraduate research and travel associated with undergraduate research via the Honors College, the Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Inquiry, and the Undergraduate Research Club. In addition, Honors College students are eligible for additional scholarships for study abroad from the Honors College and other study abroad funds, and other scholarships periodically arise for other experiential learning options. Check the Honors College webpage for the most recent information and deadlines.
